Introducing Safety – Pilz Automation Safety
When Pilz first began marketing in the U.S., they hoped to quickly establish a North American presence and chose trade advertising as their primary vehicle. Our objective was not only to build awareness of the Pilz brand and make it synonymous with safety, but to project an American persona for this German privately-held company.
The original campaign, shown here, used baseball as a backdrop for the safety message. This theme was carried through in direct mail efforts as well as trade shows like IMTS. Promotional tie-ins were developed regionally using raffles for baseball tickets to major league games.
This campaign ran for 15 months and was very successful in kick-starting awareness for the Pilz brand. VIEW LARGER

Everything Laser – Mazak Optonics Corporation
Part of the "Everything Laser" Integrated Marketing Program for Mazak Optonics was a trade advertising campaign designed for both new product introductions and product testimonials. Design templates were created that allowed flexibility, while maintaining the campaign's unified look.
These ads served as the platform for a new brand positioning for Mazak Optonics. While their biggest competitors sell a broader range of fabricating equipment, "Everything Laser" was the new tagline we developed to promote their single focus on the higher-end laser cutting technology. VIEW LARGER

A Glimpse of Perfection – Mitutoyo
Part of a reorganization at Mitutoyo involved restructuring their product line, developing advertising for each new division and using an umbrella corporate theme to tie it all together. To create continuity and help differentiate these new groups, we developed a unique color palette for each one. This concept was introduced in an umbrella spread ad, as well as throughout their booth design for various trade shows, in literature and on the web.
Product advertising also worked within these visual parameters. Copy was a bit edgier than what they had done in the past. This campaign gained positive recognition and delivered a punchy, new style for this marketing launch. VIEW AD

Strength You Can Rely On – Mazak Corporation
Mazak Corporation has traditionally been a product-focused advertiser, with their "Rock Solid" campaign in the midst of a successful multi-year run. But when it came time to deliver some higher-level messages, including them in product advertising would not serve the client well. This corporate advertising campaign was developed as an extension of the Rock Solid theme, and featured imagery and messages that promise stability, strength and vision from Mazak Corporation itself.
To showcase this creative, we also chose media that would deliver a heavier concentration of executive titles. VIEW LARGER |
